Primer Conference 2020

Speculative Futures is an international community that focus on the work and practice of Speculative and Critical Design, Design Fiction, Futurism, and Strategic Foresight. Primer is their annual conference (U.S. and Europe) where members of the community and people interested in future studies gather. The event consists of talks and workshops from experts in the domain to equip attendees to help shape the future.

I was part of the Primer 2020 design team, enlisted mainly to create a visual language and illustrations for the conference. The theme for 2020 was 'Activating Futures'. The aim was to create a language that captured the transformation and charge that were the essence of the theme. We used the idea of 'motion' - metamorphosing from point A to point B, as a metaphor to convey envisioning and shaping the future.
